While the driving is pretty decent, it’s still a Prius.
At least it’s as okay as Heck on Wheels.

Any of these commercials that showcase some sort of “performance” aspect of their car are generally always done with stunt drivers on some sort of practiced course. I know that is just marketing but I always feel like it makes no sense. Any car can have the piss driven out of it with the right driver.

I want to know how they got that Prius to oversteer like that.

Even if you DID pull the tcs fuse (which can’t be turned off) the parking brake is one of those silly buttons so you can’t really slide it like that either. It’s useless.

So how did they do that stuff? Even with the wet roads, it shouldn’t have been possible. I am simply baffled.
That car had to be massively modified to do those stunts or there was a lot of CGI involved...

Bet on modified. Full manual disable of the TCS plus a big hydraulic handbrake set up. No way a Prius slides unmodified.

Trying to make the Prius look like “Heck on wheels” is the most pointless way to advertise it.
1. Not a single Prius driver looks for performance on a Prius.
2. Not a single person thinks it’s exciting (and there’s nothing wrong with that).
3. No one who acknowledges driving as more than a chore will ever consider a Prius for a performance or even slightly sporty vehicle.
Advertise it saving the planet or hugging owls, NOT drifting.
